  • Steam plants employing both industrial package and field erected boilers.

  • Heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) and exchangers

  • Cogeneration systems (GTs, reciprocating engines, waste heat recovery)

Mechanical Engineer Profile

 

Based in St. Catharines, Ontario, the candidate will be responsible for the design and management services to deliver result oriented services to our clients. The preferred candidate will have experience in the design, commissioning, construction and maintenance of steam plants, thermal power, cogeneration, large HVAC systems and the systems supporting the utility plant operation.  Key elements of the position include:

 

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering.

  • At least 5 years of experience in Canadian Power Generation Industry.

  • Good knowledge of Thermal, Cogeneration and Renewable Power Generation.

  • Licenced PEO in Ontario or EIT with eligibility for PEO.

  • Responsible for the mechanical design and specifications of components and systems associated with power generation projects

  • Familiar with Codes and Standards of Power Generation

  • Involvement with all phases from conceptual studies, cost estimates, detailed design, site inspections, commissioning and start-up.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

  • Working knowledge of Ceasar II Pipe Stress Analysis would be a benefit.
